JOHN DAY – Heart of Grant County is having an Open House this Friday and Saturday for the public to check out their facilities. Director Beth Simonsen said their facilities and resources are available in a few different ways:
“Our building is very flexible. In addition to emergency shelter, if you need to do any reporting, or talk to counselors, or you need some help; But you don’t want to be seen going to counseling….or, you don’t want to go up to the courthouse, or you don’t want to go see the Sheriff or DHS or whatever—we can arrange for those providers to mee with you in our facility. It’s very private and confidential.”
The Open House will be at 115 NW Bridge St. in John Day this Friday, Dec. 2nd from 3 until 6 p.m., and on Saturday it’ll be between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
