Outage Monday affected over 500 electric co-op members

JOHN DAY – Power outages have been occurring off-and-on throughout Grant County today. The winter outage season is upon us, and officials are urging residents to be prepared for extended outages. Below is a press release regarding an outage earlier this morning:

OUTAGE NOTIFICATION – John Day District.

At 4:45am power outages were reported in the John Day and Long Creek area affecting around 500 members. The cause of the outages was heavy snow load on lines. Power was restored at 7:09am.
