KENNEWICK – Robert Ramirez, 19, was arrested Thursday night after crashing into a parked vehicle and then deciding to flee the area after leaving his injured family members behind, according to the Kennewick Police Department.
It happened shortly after 11 p.m. around East Tenth Avenue and South Beech Street.
The injured family members were all transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
With the assistance of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Ramirez was later located a short distance away where he was taken into custody. He was booked into the Benton County Jail and charged with driving under the influence, hit and run, plus vehicular assault.
