Over 12% of Grant County’s population are U.S. veterans

GRANT COUNTY – It’s Veterans Day, and Grant County Veteran Services Officer Katee Hoffman was on KJDY’s Coffee Time yesterday, and reminded our listeners that well over 12 percent of Grant County’s total population is comprised of US Veterans:

“Right now, we have, like, 910 registered in our county with Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs. When I started we only had approximately 200. But, if we have 910, there’s probably 400-500 more that are hiding in the outback who don’t want to come in.”
