CANYON CITY – The snowy November weather has caused a few complications around the county. Last night about 6:19 p.m., Canyon City Fire Department and Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of downed power lines and a blown transformer on North Humbolt in Canyon City.
Soon thereafter, an outage notification was issued by OTEC, stating around 750 members were without power. OTEC crews arrived at the scene, and power was restored to all members by 8:10 p.m. Remember to be prepared for outages this winter.
