LA GRANDE – (Release from the Oregon Department of Transportation)
McAlister Rd Bridge: No work is planned for this week.
2nd Street Bridge over I-84: The contractor will continue to do some minor crack seal repairs to the bridge and also start the process to remove and change out the bridge baring pads. Travel over the bridge will be reduced to one lane on Monday and Tuesday, before being closed the remainder of the week.
The bridge will be closed again to vehicular traffic starting Wednesday September 28th and will remain closed through October 7th. It will remain open to pedestrians and bicycles.
OR86 Bridge over I-84 (Richland Interchange): No work is planned for this week.
Bridge over I-84 at Upper Perry (Exit 256 EB Off Ramp): The contractor will return for one day on Tuesday to finish some repairs to the bridge rail.
I-84 between Ladd Canyon an North Powder: The contractor will continue to paving the EB slow lane Sunday through Friday morning. The goal is to have all night paving work done by the end of next week. They will have slow lane closures at the locations being paved while work is occurring. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH at the locations where work is occurring.
