EASTERN OREGON – Oregon Trail Electric (OTEC) is alerting member-owners of an uptick in potential scam calls. According to OTEC they have recently received numerous reports from all four counties, Baker, Grant, Harney and Union, in which they serve, involving members that have received calls from someone pretending to be from OTEC. The caller demands immediate payment, or they will have their service cut off. This is a scam. OTEC asks that if you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and call OTEC at 541-523-3616.
