Suspicious device located on Whitman College campus

WALLA WALLA – Whitman College’s Reid Campus Center has reopened after a small suspicious device was located on a ledge outside the building Monday evening just after 5 p.m. The Walla Walla Police Department was called and officers quickly responded to clear the area around the device.
The Richland Police Department Bomb Squad was notified, and Walla Walla police officers held a perimeter around the building until they could arrive.
Technicians with the bomb squad examined the device and determined it was not an explosive device. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
