Joel Rogers arrested on a laundry list of charges after Grand Jury Secret Indictment

LA GRANDE – (Release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office) After a Sheriff’s Office investigation was reviewed by the Union County District Attorney’s Office a secret indictment was issued by a Union County Grand Jury, and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Joel Phoenix Rogers. On April 22, 2022 at about 8:43pm Joel Phoenix Rogers (DOB 7-17-02) of La Grande Oregon, was arrested at t 2222 Jacob Street in La Grande on a Union County Warrant. Joel was lodged in the Union County Correctional facility on the following charges. 3 counts of Rape in the first degree, 5 counts of Rape in the second degree, 2 counts of Strangulation, 3 counts of Sex abuse in the first degree, 5 counts of Sex abuse in the second degree, 2 counts of Sodomy in the first degree, 4 counts of Luring a minor, 4 counts of Using Child in display of sexually explicit conduct, and 2 counts of Attempted sodomy in the third degree. Victim information will be withheld due to the victim being a Juvenile. Rogers is currently being held in the Union County Correctional Facility on $300,000.00 bail.
