OLYMPIA – Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is ending the COVID-19 emergency order requiring proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test for large indoor or outdoor events Tuesday.
Additionally, restrictions related to indoor visitation with long-term care residents are also being removed from Inslee’s emergency order. Restrictions of the frequency and length of visits for residents and the number of visitors were also removed. These changes were put into effect to align with Medicare and Medicaid services guidance.
Physical distancing should still be maintained during peak times of visitation and face coverings will still be mandated in these long-term care facilities even after the face covering requirement is lifted in most public places on March 21.
