LA GRANDE – No decisions were made as the La Grande Planning Commission met Tuesday night discussing the City land use code amendments. The commission continued their discussion on allowing for smaller lot sizes in the City of La Grande to allow for smaller cottage style homes. Also, allowing tri-plexes and quad-plexes in more areas of town. The commission supported the ideas, however further discussion are needed on weather of not residential design standards need to be established for ensuring tri and quad-plexes are aesthetically compatible with existing development in single-family and duplex neighborhoods.
