PENDLETON – The 2022 Oregon School Activities Association 2A Boys Basketball State Championship is here and Pendleton is the host. The Chamber of Commerce coordinates the volunteer activities that go into making the tournament a success. She said many local residents like to attend games, and there’s something they need to know.
“You cannot buy a ticket with cash at the door,” she said. “Do not come with $20 thinking we’re going to hand you a ticket. That is not a thing.”
The only place people can obtain tickets for the state champion events is online at https://www.osaa.org/shop/tickets. Rosenberg suggests people help those who are not as tech savvy to get their tickets.
The first round of the state tournament actually kicks off across the state tomorrow. Local action sees Stanfield visiting Western Christian at 6 p.m. Heppner hosts Bandon at the same start time.
The quarterfinals are held on Thursday, March 3 at Pendleton High School. Semifinals and consolation games are on March 4 at the Pendleton Convention Center. That’s also where the finals take place on March 5.
