Minimal students sent home on Exclusion Day

EASTERN OREGON – The state of Oregon held their Exclusion Day this week.  The staff at Elkhorn Media Group randomly called several schools in the La Grande district and found there weren’t too many students that were sent home due to no immunizations.  The same for the Baker County School district, students were sent to get their immunization records updated then returned back to school.  There were a couple of exclusions on Exclusion Day, students with religious reason or medical issues. COVID vaccines are not part of Exclusion Day. Most school officials felt the education of the parents and students played a role in how important immunizations are.
