COLLEGE PLACE — The College Place Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a Walla Walla man Friday night. Officers responded to the area of SE Larch Avenue and SE Sixth Street around 9:30 p.m. The victim, Brian Davis, 51, was driving a motorized scooter and found to have sustained life-threatening injuries.
The suspect’s vehicle, believed to be a Ford pickup truck with possible front end and/or driver’s side damage, reportedly fled the scene traveling southbound on SE Larch Avenue.
Davis was transported to a Tri-Cities hospital and is currently being treated in intensive care for head trauma and other internal injuries.
A collision specialist from the Washington State Patrol was called in to assist with this investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the College Place Police Department at 509-394-8850.
