PENDLETON – The Pendleton Public Library has seen a dramatic increase in children participating in its Story Time program since it began a partnership with the Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon. The children who attend Story Time get free access passes to CMEO.
“Since our partnership with the museum, we have seen average attendance grow to 100 children from an average of 25,” Library Director Jennifer Costley said.
At Story Time, hearing a children’s book isn’t all that happens. The participants are engaged in other activities like sand castle building and playing with construction tools.
