Second suspect in custody in Tausick Way shooting

WALLA WALLA – An investigation into a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning on the 200 block of Tausick Way resulted in another suspect being taken into custody Thursday night.

Francisco Angel Ferrusca, 20, was taken into custody after detectives from the Walla Walla Police Department and patrol officers performed a high risk stop near U.S. 12 and Clinton Street. Charges have been submitted against him for first-degree assault in connection with the shooting.

Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Nagle said Ferrusca’s bail was set Friday morning at $50,000. His arraignment is set for Aug. 9 in Walla Walla County Superior Court.

“The defendant (Ferrusca) will be required to be on electronic home monitoring and house arrest, except for work, if he posts bail,” Nagle said.

Officers responded at 12:33 a.m. on Tuesday to several reports of multiple gunshots at a location on Tausick Way. Shortly after the 911 calls camp in for the gunshots, paramedics reported they were being flagged down near 2nd Street and Main Street by two men who sustained gunshot wounds.

One suspect, Miguel Angel Ferrusca Jr., 21, was initially taken into custody and charges have been submitted for two counts of first-degree assault. He posted $100,000 bail bond Wednesday and ordered to electronic home detention and monitoring.

Arraignment for Ferrusca Jr. is set for Aug. 2 in Walla Walla County Superior Court.
