WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla High School Principal Ron Higgins has announced his retirement plans. He will wrap up 37 years with the district at the end of the school year. Higgins has been principal at the high school since the 2017-2018 school year.
Higgins began at Walla Walla High School as a math and computer science teacher in 1985 and has also served as assistant principal at Pioneer Middle School, assistant principal at Walla Walla High School, as well as the district’s director of assessment and technology.
The district has begun its search for Wa-Hi’s new principal. The job posting is located on the district’s website at https://www.wwps.org/ and closes Feb. 7.
When finalists and interview dates are finalized, the community will be informed and encouraged to participate and provide input to the selection committee.
