Ringing in the New Year

Many braved the cold temperatures on New Year’s Eve to ring in the New Year. The New Year’s Eve festivities began at 10 on Adams Avenue in La Grande with many huddling around warming barrels. The ball drop began at one minute before midnight with many hoping for a better year in 2022. The ones that celebrated were grateful the event took place this year, in 2020 on New Year’s Eve the block party was canceled due to COVID restrictions.
