ELGIN, OR – Deputies with the Union County Sheriff’s Office are seeking assistance with a vehicle theft and car prowls in the Elgin area:
On 12/20/21, in the early morning hours, a vehicle was stolen from the Elgin area and several others are believed to have been entered. The suspect’s tracks can be seen walking along a certain route, but not necessarily limited to the area pictured. If you live in the area and noticed anything which would help with this investigation, contact Deputy Hamilton at 541-910-4767 (leave a message with your contact information if forwarded to voicemail). Please refrain from contacting the Dispatch Center with information regarding this specific investigation.The stolen vehicle is described as a Grey 2015 Ford Edge bearing Oregon license plate 308 DWF. It is believed to have headed south, toward La Grande.
