Wanted: Grinch who tried to steal Christmas

COLLEGE PLACE — The College Place Police Department is looking for the person or persons who cut the electrical cords to the Christmas lights on the tree and hedges at city hall. The full extent of the damage that occurred Saturday night is still being assessed.
The case of malicious mischief took place shortly after 11 p.m. on the municipal campus, located on the 600 block of South College Avenue.
“The exact extent of the damages is still under review as city maintenance crews determine exactly how many different wires were cut,” Public Information Officer Sgt. Dylan Schmick said.
