HARNEY COUNTY– A Mobile Medical Clinic has been purchased and is in the process of getting stocked and ready to go.
Harney County Health Department was given COVID-19 grants, and with the grants they were able to purchase a Mobile Medical Clinic. This means that around next spring they will have providers on the Mobile Clinic that are able to do primary care, annual visits and more for patients outside of town. The agency has stated that, “We are talking all of Harney County.”
The Mobile Medical Clinic will be used in town first for a mobile syringe exchange and injections of COVID-19 vaccinations and flu vaccinations.
Nic Calvin, the Harney County Health Department Director, is extremely happy and energetic to get the Mobile Medical Clinic up and going. They are currently talking with providers to determine what they all need to stock it. “However we can help people we are going to try,” states Calvin.
