ELGIN, OR – Elgin School Superintendent and Elgin High School Principal Dianne Greif has announced her retirement from the Elgin School District but is not in a hurry to get out the door. Greif said, “A date hasn’t been set, it really depends on when the district finds a replacement, but typically the date would be the end of June”. If a replacement is not found by the end of June, Greif said she will stay on until a new Superintendent is hired. Greif said, “I’m not leaving for any particular reason other than I am just ready to have more family time and enjoy the grandkids”. Greif has been with the district for 29-years.
