PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council will hold a work session tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. There are some chairs available for the masked public. There is no official action scheduled for the work session.

It will begin with a discussion regarding changes that would be needed to the city’s taxicab ordinance in order to allow ride-share companies like Uber and Lyft. At a recent council meeting some members of the public urged the council to expand the ordinance to include Uber, which has at least one driver but is not allowed to operate due to the ordinance. Currently, Elite Taxi is the only licensed operator in Pendleton.

Also on the agenda is a presentation on the cost of burying above-ground utilities in the downtown area.

The meeting is accessible via Zoom. The ID is 884 8112 2347 and the pass code is 084904.
