WALLA WALLA — A 36-year-old man arrested in Walla Walla this summer for attempting to elude police and driving under the influence was sentenced Tuesday in Walla Walla County Superior Court. Tyler M. Usko, with no known address, was arrested on June 23 near Highway 12 and Mill Creek Road after driving erratically through a construction zone.
He was sentenced to two months in jail, received credit for 41 days already served and had 19 days converted to 152 hours of community service.
If his name sounds familiar, Usko was sentenced to six months in jail in March 2020, after he pleaded guilty to assaulting two Walla Walla police officers on Dec. 26, 2019. He was arrested at the Christian Aid Center after trying to start fights. While being processed at the Walla Walla County Jail, he punched an officer in the face breaking his nose and kicked another officer in the chest.
