JOHN DAY – The City of John Day is increasing its industrial capacity. City Manager Nick Green recently explained plans for a business park along the riverfront, north of the future wastewater treatment plant site:
“That’ll open up another 15 acres or so in the valley, so you don’t have to climb to get to it. It’ll be mixed-use commercial/light industrial—we need more of that type of land. A lot of people [are] interested in investing in our community right now, and so we’re trying to create some space for that to happen.”
The city council recently approved the street alignment and design of the riverfront business park. For project updates log on to cityofjohnday.com.
