ELGIN, OR – The Elgin Volunteer Ambulance has replaced their aging ambulance with a new F550. The color is a little different, painted with the colors of the Elgin Huskies. According to the Elgin Fire Chief, Kevin Silvernail, The ambulance was completely paid for by grants that were applied for earlier. The total cost is $249,000 for the vehicle, not including equipment. Silvernail, firefighters, and EMT’s thanked the Elgin City Council for the support during the process.
