PASCO – A Burbank man known to law enforcement was arrested on warrants while unlawfully possessing a firearm in a Pasco last Friday. Pasco police department officers arrested Dustin Allen Bushnell, 30, when he arrived at a tow yard to retrieve a pickup. He cooperated with the arrest. Detectives also located a small loaded semiautomatic pistol with one in the chamber, and additional loose rounds of ammunition. Bushnell cannot lawfully possess a firearm.
In addition to his outstanding warrants, he was also booked into the Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold for unlawful possession of a firearm, which is a felony. The car Bushnell drove to the tow yard was also impounded for a search warrant. Detectives conducted a search and recovered stolen property.
In September, Bushnell pleaded guilty to third-degree theft in Walla Walla County Superior Court after being arrested for stealing a slide from a city park in Pasco sometime between late December 2020 and late February. The slide, which weighs about 400 pounds, was found later in Bushnell’s home. It had been repainted and attached to a bunk bed. Bushnell received credit for four days already spent in jail following his arrest for stealing the slide.
In August, Bushnell was named in another criminal theft case in Benton County following the execution of a burglary search warrant. He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary after stolen property was recovered. Bushnell has also been identified as being associated with catalytic converter thefts.
