OLYMPIA – Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced Thursday that, effective Monday, Nov. 15, large events statewide will be required to verify that all attendees are either fully vaccinated or received a negative test within the last 72 hours.

The requirement applies to all attendees 12 or older.

Inslee said this applies to indoor events with 1,000 or more attendees and outdoor events with 10,000 or more attendees.

“For now, this applies to ticketed or registered events that have defined entrances, like conventions, concerts, sporting events, fairs, theme parks and more,” Inslee explained. “This does not cover large venues like shopping malls, museums or grocery stores that are open to the public as part of their operation.”

Religious services will be exempt, along with K-12 events held on school property.

There are several ways to verify vaccination status, such as a CDC vaccination record card or photo of card; a printed certificate or screenshot from MyIRMobile.com; or other immunization records from health providers.
