WALLA WALLA – Multiple hot air balloons will be flying over Walla Walla Friday through Sunday as part of a pop-up hot air balloon festival put on by operator, Seattle Ballooning.
The event comes following the cancellation last month of the annual Walla Walla Balloon Stampede due to COVID-19 concerns.
The hot air balloons will be flying during sunrise and sunset and the location of launch is only available to those flying in the event. People who wish to reserve a ride can do so on Seattle Ballooning’s website.
“Sunrise in Walla Walla is going to be the best hot air balloon flight as you get to see the sunrise from the sky,” Seattle Ballooning Chief Pilot Eliav Cohen said. “There will also be more hot air balloons flying at sunrise than sunset.”
Seattle Ballooning is familiar with flying over beautiful landscape as its pilots normally provide commercial balloon rides in front of Mount Rainier.
