MT. VERNON – According to a release from Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley, the Sheriff’s Office along with the Oregon State Police assisted the Payette County Idaho Sheriff’s Office in serving search warrants and an arrest warrant at two locations in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, October 12th. Arrested was Devin Seaters, 30, of Mt. Vernon on theft and burglary charges. The Sheriff noted that a stolen handgun was recovered.
Sheriff McKinley recently stated on Coffee Time, he appreciates the public for reporting suspicious activity and being good witnesses:
“I’m always pleased with our populous—that they call, they let us know what’s going on. I encourage them, let us know. I’d rather get, you know, a hundred calls that were, ‘hey, this may be going on’ and it turns out okay, than miss that one call that was very important that could’ve helped us solve something.”
