NYSSA – The Nyssa Fire Department has announced that with cooler weather and recent rain the county-wide burn ban in Malheur County is lifted effective today, October 1st.
The department notes that “Burn Permits will still be required and can be issued by Nyssa Fire Department or at Nyssa City Hall. The city will have burn days set for October 8th – 18th. This is for yard debris only such as leaves weeds and trees. Items like trash, mattress, couches, recliners and tires will need to be hauled to the dump.”
