WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla City Council will meet virtually tonight at 6:30 p.m. to pick up where it left off after last week’s meeting was interrupted. Mayor Tom Scribner adjourned last week’s meeting after a group of attendees refused to wear masks, a violation of city and state-mandated health and safety requirements for in-person public meetings.
Tonight’s agenda includes approving a consulting contract with PBS Engineering and Environmental in the amount of $166,450 for design of First Avenue Plaza and authorizing the more than $39,000 purchase of two new automated CPR machines for the Walla Walla Fire Department.
The council is also expected to authorize a contract of more than $108,000 with Allplay Systems for the Vista Terrace playground improvement project. Sunrise Rotary is funding $72,500 of the contract.
The meeting may be viewed on the city’s website or via Zoom. The meeting ID number is 894 6098 4481.
