GRANT COUNTY – Law enforcement had a busy weekend, according to Grant County Emergency Communications. There were four different arrests on Friday alone, which is a bit higher than average for our local area.
At approximately 8:37 a.m. on September 24th, John Day Police responded to a location on S Canyon Blvd for a menacing call. Travis Bryers, 22, was arrested for Menacing.
The John Day Police Department also served an arrest warrant later in the day. Devan James Hanes, 28, of John Day was arrested on a Grant County warrant at approximately 3:49 p.m.
Shortly thereafter, there was a report that came in of an intoxicated individual involved in a minor accident in the Len’s Pharmacy parking lot in John Day. Cody Sasser, 41, of Canyon City was arrested by John Day Police for DUII.
Later, on Friday night, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a release agreement violation on N Humbolt in Canyon City. Amanda Ellen Wright, 42, of Canyon City, was arrested for Violation of a No Contact Order.
On Saturday, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a location on Cottonwood Street in Mt. Vernon to serve an arrest warrant. Travis Benjamin Farr, 28, of Mt. Vernon was arrested on the Grant County warrant.
