KPD investigates homicide

KENNEWICK – A homicide investigation is underway around West Seventh Place and South Kent Street following a report of shots fired early Wednesday morning.
The Kennewick Police Department said when officers arrived shortly after 3 a.m. they located a deceased female who died of apparent gunshot wounds. The victim has been identified as Alyssa Moore, 18, and next of kin have been notified.
Detectives investigating the scene said this incident does appear to be a targeted event, but that there is no immediate threat to the public.
