Public transportation suffering due to short staffing

JOHN DAY – Grant County Transportation District Manager Angie Jones was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time explaining that the People Mover public bus service has been short-handed on drivers lately:
“Things have been busy. Like other businesses in town, we have been short staffed, so that does play a role in daily operations. We are adapting as best we can, and keeping the word out there that we’re hiring.”
Jones said their service has suffered due to their need for employees. The John Day/Canyon City Loop Route must be canceled from time to time to accommodate the other routes. Follow Grant County People Mover on Facebook to keep up with route cancellations.
