Voters can help WWPD win an award

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla Police Department has been nominated for a 2021 RISE award in the agency category. This particular award program recognizes a department for building up its community.
Community members, friends and family may each vote once per day until September 17, 2021, by clicking on the link below. The top 10 finalists in each category will then be reviewed by a panel of judges. Winners will receive $7,500 for the police foundation, police nonprofit or community program.
“We are excited at the opportunity to add more funding into our Police Foundation Community Care Fund,” Sgt. Eric Knudson said. “This allows us more opportunities to serve those in need.”
