Officer-involved shooting outside Eagles Lodge

WALLA WALLA – A special investigations unit is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place Saturday night in downtown Walla Walla.

The special investigations unit responded to the Eagles Lodge on the 300 block of South 2nd Avenue at the request of WWPD Chief Scott Bieber. Officers were dispatched to the location at 10:49 p.m. to reports of a disturbance. The shooting was reported at 10:54 p.m. The SIU completed several interviews, processed the scene and collected evidence. Officers involved in the incident were relieved at 1 a.m. Sunday.

The parties included in the interlocal agreement for a special investigations unit to investigate officer involved incidents are Benton, Franklin and Walla Walla counties, political subdivisions of the State of Washington, the municipalities of Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, Prosser, Pasco, Connell, Walla Walla, the Washington State Patrol and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
