WALLA WALLA – Not guilty pleas were entered Monday by two brothers arrested in connection with a July 27 shooting on the 200 block of Tausick Way in Walla Walla.
Miguel Angel Ferrusca Jr., 21, was the first to be arrested. He is charged with two counts of first-degree assault. He posted $100,000 bail a day after being arrested. His trial is set for October 19.
Francisco Angel Ferrusca, 20, was arrested two days after the shooting following a high-risk stop near Highway 12 and Clinton Street. He’s being charged with first-degree assault in connection with the shooting. He also posted bail. His trial is set for October 25.
Both men are under electronic home detention monitoring.
Detectives allege the Ferrusca brothers each possessed guns and were involved in the shooting that left two men injured. Police say the victims had gone to the area to pick up a woman when Miguel asked them to get off the property and began shooting. An investigation revealed details that Francisco also fired at one of the victims.
The victims were able to leave the area and get medical help near Second Avenue and Rose Street.
