WALLA WALLA – Two suspects alleged to be related to a shooting that injured two people were taken into custody by Walla Walla Police without incident early Tuesday morning. At 12:33 a.m., 911 dispatchers received multiple calls about gunshots in the 200 block of Tausick Way.
“Officers arrived in the area and found multiple bullet casings in the road and started to shut down the area,” Public Information Officer Sgt. Gunner Fulmer said.
A short time later, it was reported two people who sustained gunshot wounds were near Second and Main streets. The two suspects that were detained were located in the vicinity of the shots-fired report.
“Both subjects were treated by medics and transported to the area hospital,” Fulmer said. “One subject has been flown out of the area to another hospital.”
No details have been released on either victim’s condition and no information has been made public regarding the two people that were detained. Fulmer said detectives are still actively working on this case.
