PENDLETON – COVID-19 cases may be dropping in most of Oregon, but they’re on the rise in Umatilla County. Umatilla County Public Health Deputy Director Alisha Lundgren says one reason for that is more people are getting together socially.
“That’s been a trend that’s been going up,” she said. “It’s certainly been the case with all the holidays that have been coming – Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July.”
The state may have reopened, but Lundgren said people still need to be cautious.
“There is always caution to be considered when going to a gathering,” she said. “How large is it, making sure you stay home when you’re sick – that type of thing.”
