PENDLETON โ€“ The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners has approved selling a building the county owns on Southeast Court Avenue to Oregon Grain Growers Distillery.

โ€œWe will sell our maintenance shop, which is immediately adjacent to Oregon Distillery in order to permit them to dramatically expand their business basically at the same site and location,โ€ Chairman George Murdock said.

Murdock said OGG will allow the countyโ€™s maintenance crew to work out of a portion of its new property until a suitable new location is found. He added that it is a good boost for the local economy to see a business grow.

โ€œWe think this is really exciting news for Pendleton that a business is planning to basically double at least in size and be here in Pendleton,โ€ Murdock said.
