BAKER COUNTY – (Information provided by the Baker County Library) The Baker County Library Foundation has received a gift of $10,000 “In memory of the Wells Family: Fay & Lloyd, & children: Patricia & Ross.” The donor, Mr. K. Holmberg, wrote “Their variable residencies in Baker spanned 1930 -1978, children moving upon US graduation, while parents continued to reside in Baker until respective passing’s. Also given with appreciation to people of Baker for privilege of living amongst them for a year (53 years ago today I left). And finally, to the BHS class of 1971, HAPPY 50th!.”
Charitable gifts to the Library Foundation help to build an endowment for the support of library programs, services, and capital improvements. The Foundation is a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Donations of over $1,000 are recognized with a placard on a Donor Board in the front lobby at the Baker County Public Library.
Persons interested in planned giving or getting involved with Foundation fundraising efforts are encouraged to contact Library Director Perry Stokes.
