PILOT ROCK – The Pilot Rock Police Department is investigating a shots fired report Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. Police Chief Bill Caldera reports that five shots were fired by a vehicle in a residential neighborhood.
The shots were fired on South Alder Street at Southwest Third Street. No immediate sign of damage was found, and no one was injured. The eyewitness could not tell how many people were in the vehicle, but did report it was running rough.
Caldera said the vehicle is a newer black Toyota Tacoma or Nissan Frontier with no canopy. Investigators collected shell casings at the scene and video surveillance systems are being reviewed. An attempt to locate notice was sent to surrounding agencies to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle.
