Traffic is now in a single lane each direction, 2-way configuration separated by tubular markers.

Paving of the slow lane with asphalt base for the new concrete pavement will take place this week, with placement of reinforcement for the new concrete pavement to begin immediately after.  Bridge work to replace rail and repair the deck surface on one bridge and to repair the deck surface on another will continue all next week.  Asphalt delivery trucks will be leaving and entering the work zone, so please be extra aware when driving through.

Please remember that the speed limit through the work zone is 50 MPH.

There is a second project on I-84 that will begin Monday (May 17, 2021).

A project to repair and install linings in culverts crossing under the freeway between MP 241.6 and 244.7 EB and WB will continue all week.  Occasional right lane closures EB and WB will be in place in this section to accommodate construction equipment and delivery of materials.  The work is actually occurring off the shoulders.  This work will occur during daylight hours and is expected to take about 2 weeks.
