BAKER CITY – After the CDC’s announcement late last week regarding mandate changes to those who are vaccinated, the Baker School District wants everyone to know that the new guidance will not impact schools during this school year.
In a statement made by Governor Brown she shared that, “Nothing is changing for schools this school year, and I expect education staff and students to continue to wear masks and physically distance, as outlined in our Ready Schools, Safe Learners guidance.” This also applies to all other individuals on school campus, including but not limited to: family members, volunteers, visitors, SROs, and other partners.
According to information from the Oregon Department of Education, “ODE is currently working with OHA on guidance for next school year. We will begin to share a discussion draft including key changes for your input the week of May 24th. We will also notify you of any updates to RSSL guidance for summer school in the coming weeks.”
