PENDLETON – Pendleton’s housing crisis includes homes for all income levels – including a shortage of executive-level housing. Community Development Director Tim Simons said plans are in the works to address that shortage, and one project is underway.
A developer has staked out lots on Southwest 18th Street above St. Anthony Hospital.
“I don’t remember the exact number, but I want to say he wants to put 50-some homes up there eventually,” Simons said. “I’ve heard that he’s already got people interested in buying lots.”
Simons said with the housing market as hot as it is in Pendleton, homes in that area would attract top dollar.
“There are nice view lots up on the top of the ridge,” he said. “I would think they’d want to put nice homes up there as well. They could be in that $750,000 range, or more.”
