PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council holds a work session at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) and how the results of a citizen survey will impact council goals leads the agenda.

The top four issues ranked ‘extremely valuable’ by survey takers are increasing the availability of housing for all levels of income; maintaining public safety to the highest standards; developing sustainable infrastructure funding  for public buildings, roads, and utilities; and improvement communications between the community and city officials.

The biggest vote-getter for ‘not at all necessary’ is developing a community sports complex.

The council will also discuss establishing reimbursement districts for developers and discuss infrastructure maintenance. The meeting is held via Zoom. The ID is 880 9325 5168 and the pass code is 405803.
