BAKER COUNTY – (Release from Idaho Power) Anyone who performs prescribed burning of ditch banks or pastures is being asked to take extra care when near power poles and electrical equipment. Idaho Power has seen a recent increase in accidental damage to their power poles caused by spring burning. This can create safety hazards, cause power outages and result in costly repairs.
Idaho Power also reminds customers to look up for overhead lines when moving tall equipment or clearing debris from irrigation pipes. Assume all power lines are energized and dangerous, and never stack hay bales or other items under lines.
Idaho Power appreciates the community’s help to ensure they can continue providing reliable, affordable, clean power.
