Joshua Milton Thomas sentenced in case involving theft from a local church

BAKER CITY – (Details provided by the Baker City Police Department) Joshua Milton Thomas, 31, was sentenced to 28 months in prison earlier this month, for the theft of two chalices, three gold plates and a silver and gold crucifix taken from St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cathedral in February.  The value of the stolen items was approximately $11,000.00. 

Thomas pled guilty to first-degree aggravated theft involving the thefts from the Catholic Church and to two counts of entering motor vehicles on Kirkway Drive.

Thomas was arrested on the night of February 18th and charged with six counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and 13 counts of attempted entry into a motor vehicle after being found in possession of the stolen items from the Catholic Church and other items from various vehicles parked in the neighborhood of Kirkway Drive.
