Increase of utility rates for the City of Union

UNION, OR – The City of Union said the water and sewer rates will be increasing 2.5 percent. Currently, the water rate is 23.36, and the sewer rate is at 53.30. According to an ordinance the water and sewer rates automatically increase each year and will go into effect on April 1st. During the Union City Council meeting Monday night, it was discussed that a new rate structure is in the works and the hope is to get the new rate by August at the latest.
